Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician

Arch Machinery has repaired heavy equipment in northwest Houston since 1993. Independent, all-makes — Cat, Deere, Komatsu, Kobelco, Case, Kubota. Seven bays and service trucks. You get an assigned, fully equipped truck and run field calls to job sites and yards across greater Houston.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems in the field — excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers
- Run scheduled PMs, inspections, and breakdown calls; prioritize downed machines
- Use laptop-based OEM diagnostic software
- Talk straight with customers: what's wrong, what it takes, what it costs
- Keep clean repair orders — description, parts, times — and turn in hours daily
- Keep your truck stocked, safe, and road-ready
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years on heavy equipment; field experience preferred
- Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostics — that's most of the job
- Works independently, communicates professionally
- Valid driver's license, insurable record; CDL a plus
- Own hand tools — truck, specialty tooling, and diagnostics are on us
- Welding and Spanish both a plus
Physical: outdoor work in all weather, active job sites, lift 50 lbs, occasional after-hours callouts.
