Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Center Float Teacher to join our early childhood education team from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. In this vital role, you will provide flexible classroom support across various age groups, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young learners. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with children will help foster a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and development. Duties
- Provide adaptable classroom coverage across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring continuity of care and instruction
- Assist with lesson planning and curriculum implementation that aligns with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior strategies and maintaining a safe environment for all children
- Collaborate with lead teachers to facilitate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other developmental programs
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth, fine motor skills, and cognitive development
- Support special education needs and early intervention strategies to ensure inclusive learning experiences for all students
- Maintain open communication with parents and team members regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs
- Experience supporting literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and foster a nurturing environment
- Classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly desirable
