Job Overview:
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Fairfield Psychological Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health care to patients in an outpatient setting. This position requires expertise in psychiatric nursing and the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health disorders. You will have the opportunity to work in an outpatient private mental health practice in collaboration with other nurse practitioners and counselors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct medication evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions
- Prescribe medications based on treatment plan
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Utilize electronic health record systems
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting
- Experience working with children and willingness to take on children an adolescent clients is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
