We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team with forestry experience operating clearing equipment. You must have experience operating one of the following proficiently: Feller buncher, Clearing Excavator, Dozer With Rake. Competence with multiple equipment types is preferred.
As an operator you are responsible for safe operation of equipment, daily maintenance of machine and quality production standards. This position offers ample overtime pay.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Show up consistently and on time to projects.
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Willing to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Communicate with public and team members.
Qualifications:
- Forestry experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Drivers license
- Strong work ethic
- Travel within Virginia Required
