Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Solutions (EESS) division is seeking a dynamic Load Management Solutions Leader to champion our Smart Grid portfolio within the Utility Digital Solutions (UDS) organization. This highly visible leadership role combines strategic vision with hands-on customer engagement, empowering utilities to accelerate grid modernization, enhance reliability, and drive digital transformation.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse customer base, including Public Power organizations (municipalities and cooperatives) and Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs). The successful candidate will work at the intersection of technology, innovation, and customer success, partnering closely with utility leaders and Eaton's cross-functional ecosystem to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and deliver impactful Smart Grid solutions that create measurable business value.
This is a remote position for candidates residing in New Mexico, Idaho, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, or Utah, with approximately 50% travel required throughout the Western region to support customer engagement and business growth initiatives.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

- Provide expertise to assist assigned customers in making decisions to properly utilize the system to achieve their expected value and to meet their Demand Response goals.
- Responsible for supporting our largest utility customers in the region as a lead load management consultant
- Major channel of Voice of Customer into Product Development. Collaborative SME relationship with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Services.
- Advises customers on best practices for communication network rollout and maintenance including the continuous improvement of RF Mesh Infrastructure, gateway, relays, and meter
- Analyzes network health and implement optimization strategies that may impact demand response systems
- Advise and support on the ground activity local to regionally assigned utility customers if so needed to restore or maintain system performance to SLA levels.
- Track on the ground issues and risks for selected regional customers and provide a channel of escalation into Eaton for corrective actions as necessary to the health of the system and customer relationship. Represents the highest level of technical escalation available for Load Management technical problems within UDS before Engineering becomes involved.
- Coordination with project managers at a program level for deployment projects in the region
- Owns industry and 3rd party relationships that impact or directly serve key regional customers for this product line such as PacifiCorp DR program staff in Salt Lake City and Portland as well as their contractors, Cache Valley Electric that facilitates maintenance aspects and Franklin Energy that facilitates end user recruitment and DR device installation.
- Help ensure that Eaton’s Support, Engineering and Operations teams are doing what is needed to ensure customer SLAs are met.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of engineering, product marketing, operations or product sales in the electrical industry

Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering background
- Specific experience with Electrical Utility equipment and practices, particularly in the area of Load Management.
- Experience with Radio Frequency and Cellular Communications Systems
- Experience with Communications Hardware, Firmware, and Enterprise Software systems.
- Proven demonstrated skills in teamwork, time management, customer service skills, and ability to multi-task in an interrupt-based environment
- Strong understanding of controls development processes, communication protocols, cybersecurity requirements, software and solutions, and agile program management processes.
Position Criteria:
- Prior business experience with utility industry, specifically in the areas of Demand Response, Demand Management and/or Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) programs and products preferred.
- Hands-on technical experience with utility systems, including Grid Automation, AMI and Demand Response software and or hardware.
- Strong leadership and customer relationship skills with a track record of successful customer outcomes.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and business modeling skills with ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a complex utility environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and persuade.
- Curious learner with an entrepreneurial spirit that has relentless drive to experiment and explore innovative possibilities.
- Can work outdoors and lift up to 35 lbs in a safe and proper manner.
