We are seeking an Accountant to serve as an integral part of the Finance and Accounting Team who will be responsible for the maintenance of our financial records. Reporting to the Division Controller, the ideal candidate will have exposure to monthly closing process, financial reporting and budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities

Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, which include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and producing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

Participation in coding, approval, payment and reconciliation of vendors invoices, expenses reports and other accounts payable functions.

Record payroll-related journal entries and accruals.

Maintains financial reports, records, and general ledgers.

Identification and evaluation of areas for process improvement and automation.

Perform regular and ad-hoc financial statement analysis, such as preparation of monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statements and reporting variances to prior periods.

Research and analyze expense variances for company management.

Support the Finance team to obtain data for budget and forecasting needs.

Participate in various special projects, which may include implementation of new accounting standards, implementation of new software tools, other technical accounting projects, and regulatory and non-financial reporting requirements.
Knowledge and skills requirements

Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is desirable but not required;

Experience with MS Office Suite and strong proficiency in Excel.

Detail-oriented with good organization skills.

Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite.

Location: Remote
**$60K - $65K compensation determined based on candidate's skills, experience, knowledge, geographic location, and other variables.
