Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings promptly
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Support patients with specialized needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking while adhering to dietary restrictions and care protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort
- Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> (a placeholder for individual resident’s name) lifts safely during transfers or repositioning
- Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports thoroughly to ensure continuity of care
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols to respond effectively during emergencies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop or update personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home & community care, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are advantageous
- Experience with Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care or hospice is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with mobility using proper techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
- Working knowledge of medication administration procedures and care plans

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour
