Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes during service to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of dish racks, supplies, and equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing stations and kitchen areas through regular cleaning and sanitation routines.
- Support food preparation activities by ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and ready for use.
- Follow food safety management protocols to uphold hygiene standards throughout the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to ensure timely dishwashing and cleanliness needs are met.
Qualifications
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitizing procedures is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely.
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards.
