American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of experience for a night shift contract position in a high-volume, Level II trauma imaging department in Tacoma, WA.

4-room CT department within a hospital imaging services unit
-
Patient population includes trauma, stroke, ER, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a Level II trauma center (adult and peds)
-
Approximately 28 patients seen per night shift, with ~130 patients scanned across a 24-hour period
-
10-hour night shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off, Wednesday through Tuesday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM

35 hours per week (70 hours bi-weekly)

Weekend rotation is possible
-
On-call required: one weekend call shift approximately every 6 weeks (Saturday 1:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM), plus two weekday call shifts per month (1:00 AM – 7:00 AM); 30-minute response time required

Overnight staff may also be assigned call on unscheduled nights

No floating required

EMR: Epic (experience required); PACS: McKesson

Equipment: Siemens CT scanners

Minimum of 2-3 years of CT Technologist experience required

ARRT (CT) and BLS required
-
WA State Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable

Trauma experience and IV insertion skills required
-
Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Orientation is conducted on day shift for 1-2 weeks

Lead Tech is on-site from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 2-5 CT Techs on staff depending on shift

Radiologist is off-site during night shifts
-
Transporters are available during day and evening shifts; ER/inpatient staff bring patients to the department during nights
-
Holiday coverage follows the candidate's normally scheduled shift and call assignment

RTO requests must be approved by the manager

Any solid, professional scrub color is acceptable

At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) is required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
