Summary: The position will engage across all functions of the company and have exposure to the entire manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is interested in engineering design, problem solving and product improvement and possesses strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as efficiency in CAD.Successful employees invite input from others and listen and react intellectually.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing equipment to meet the needs of our customers as well as applicable codes and industry safety standards.
- Using a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office products, CAD, and the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to create and edit process documentation such as drawings (layout and detailed), Bill of Materials, and product manuals.
- Recommending improvements that lower costs and/or increase production.
- Engaging with the Production Team to solve problems during the fabrication process.
- Using technology and creativity to continuously improve, quality, timeliness, and profitability.
- Contributing to meetings with team members, customers, and suppliers to problem solve and achieve successful outcomes.
- Supporting Sales Department on design concepts and cost estimates.
- Leading a project from receipt of customer purchase order through equipment installation, including schedule and resource management.
Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High attention to detail, fulfilling responsibilities with integrity and accuracy.
- Exhibits trust and accountability.
- Demonstrates high level of cooperation, flexibility, and willingness to help the team succeed.
- Ability to be adapt to a fast-paced, ambiguous working environment.
