LARC is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Day Services Director to lead and grow our person-centered programs supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding and background to develop and implement person centered strategies leading toward a self-directed life for the individuals served by LARC. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading the community day program staff as the organization moves toward a community integrated/person centered program approach. This position requires that a collaborative effort be made with all staff to insure that the supports and services provided to each individual is of the highest quality and a genuine sense of teamwork is evident in the provision of services.
As the Community Day Services Director, you will:
- Lead and oversee community-based day services programs
- Inspire and support a team of direct support professionals
- Ensure high-quality, person-centered programming
- Create opportunities for community inclusion, life skills, and vocational development
- Build strong relationships with families, guardians, and community partners
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid waiver services and state regulations
- Monitor program quality, participant outcomes, and satisfaction
- Help shape strategic growth and innovative service delivery
- Foster a culture of positivity, accountability, and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or related field
- Experience working with developmentally/intellectually disabled individuals in a community day services program preferred but not required
- Supervisory experience of at least 5 years required
- Possess good communication skills both verbal and written
- Possess computer skills including use of EXCEL and WORD
