Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring smooth operations at the register. Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately during transactions.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Assist in merchandising products to enhance store displays and promote sales.
- Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
- Experience with cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
