Duties
- Lead daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality beverage and food service.
- Supervise and motivate team members, providing training on drink preparation, POS systems, and customer interaction.
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency, including specialty coffees and teas.
- Manage retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to food handling protocols and cleaning schedules.
- Oversee inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper food preparation procedures are followed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, addressing inquiries promptly, and resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage service.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or food service setting preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash handling and retail math accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math skills necessary for daily operations.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
