Schedule: Part-time in-person, 12-15 hours/week guaranteed. Up to 20 hours in busy seasons. Occasional evenings.

Compensation and Benefits: Compensation of $18-23/hour, depending on experience.
Who We Are:
The Hillsborough Organization for Progress & Equality is an interfaith coalition of over thirty congregations who are building the power of organized people to hold political and economic systems accountable for acting fairly—pushing them to become more equitable and just. We are looking for a smart, committed, and detail-oriented candidate fluent in both English and Spanish to join our team to assist in managing the administrative operations of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Professionally manage the organization’s email, phone, and written mail.
- Assist with the organization’s financial records using Quickbooks. This includes making deposits, paying bills, preparing reports, and creating invoices.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare reports and materials for organizational events and mailings as assigned.
- Ensure that the office is organized and physically set up for success with essential supplies.
- Schedule, attend, and help prepare for organizational events.
- Assist organizing staff in making reminder phone calls for key events.
- Assist in the preparation of government reports, e.g. Sunbiz, FDACS.
- Assist with initial drafts of grant proposals and reports.
- Assist with communications, including website maintenance, email updates, and posting to social media.
Essential Qualifications and Characteristics:
- Core passion for justice and equity
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both Spanish and English
- Comfort working with faith communities and a genuine respect for the faith traditions of others
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
Ideal Qualifications and Characteristics (preferred but not required)
- Experience with Quickbooks and GoogleWorkspace
- Grant writing experience
- Experience with Facebook, Instagram, and SquareSpace
Ideal candidates will have all relevant skills and experience (not necessarily in the non-profit arena), but we will consider entry level candidates with strong volunteer leadership.
