Plant Health Care Technician/Applicator (PHC)
Allen's Tree Service is seeking a motivated Plant Health Care Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving plant health issues, and providing exceptional service to customers. The successful candidate will work independently and alongside our arborists to diagnose, treat, and monitor the health of trees and shrubs throughout our service area.
Starting Pay
$19 per hour, depending on experience, licensing, and qualifications. We are willing to match or exceed current pay for experienced candidates who can demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess lawns, trees and shrubs for insect, disease, and environmental stress issues
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments according to state regulations and company standards
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and maintain accurate service records
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain spray equipment, pumps, tanks, and related PHC tools
- Communicate findings and treatment recommendations to customers and team members
- Assist arborists and field crews as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service
Qualifications
- Missouri Commercial Applicator License preferred, or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of plant health care practices, pest identification, and disease management
- Ability to safely handle and apply fertilizers and pesticides
- Experience operating and maintaining application equipment
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to drive larger work vehicles; experience with manual transmissions is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime opportunities available
- Occasional weekend work as needed
