Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time LCAC Mechanic I (SRS) located in Portsmouth, VA.
Summary: A LCAC Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of the craft's mechanical, propulsion, and structural systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
System Maintenance: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the LCAC's gas turbine engines, propulsion and lift systems, and auxiliary machinery.
Inspections and Repairs: Inspecting craft structures and surfaces for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, and conducting necessary repairs or modifications using various tools and techniques.
Technical Interpretation: Utilizing blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals to troubleshoot and execute repair tasks.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed maintenance records and ensuring all work complies with technical and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Own your own basic hand tools.
- General knowledge of work site/shipboard protocol.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to US military and/or government installation.
ADA Notations:
- Frequently handles heavy objects. Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
- Must have visual, manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, handle small objects.
- Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or hold objects.
- Works inside in areas that are usually dusty, dirty, or greasy and outside, sometimes in bad weather. Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions; heat, cold,
and wet.
