Duties
- Supervise manufacturing team members across assigned shifts, providing clear direction and support to meet production goals
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed rigorously, promoting a safe working environment for everyone on the floor
- Coordinate the operation of machinery and equipment, including forklifts and power tools, to optimize productivity and safety
- Monitor assembly line processes to maintain quality standards and identify areas for process improvements
- Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing area, warehouse, and equipment using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Manage inventory and materials movement within the facility, including forklift operation and warehouse experience
- Document shift activities, production metrics, safety incidents, and maintenance needs accurately for reporting purposes
Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with hands-on knowledge of factory operations and assembly lines
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity of hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse or factory setting
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Solid understanding of safety regulations related to manufacturing facilities and warehouse operations
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments
