Summary:
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result. This is an on site position.
Tasks:
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GEV. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Supervises and oversees daily manufacturing line operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
- Provides guidance and direction to production operators and technicians on the shop floor.
- Monitors workflow, identifies bottlenecks, and implements corrective actions to maintain efficiency and continuity of operations.
- Ensures adherence to standard work instructions, company policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Supports team development by coaching, training, and evaluating manufacturing personnel performance.
Requirements:
- Engineering bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of experience.
- Speak, read and write English and Spanish.
- Demonstrate problem solving, qualitative and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage/lead multiple priorities.
- Excellent administrative communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate knowledge in process improvement and team building.
- Solid computer skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and Green Belt training are desirable.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
