Job Title: Heavy Equipment Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing, fabricating, and rebuilding heavy equipment components using a variety of welding and metal fabrication techniques. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop or field environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on heavy equipment and structural components.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair buckets, booms, frames, attachments, and other equipment parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
- Operate fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, presses, and hydraulic tools.
- Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
- Diagnose damaged components and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work with mechanics to complete equipment repairs efficiently.
- Perform field welding repairs when required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy equipment welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding (TIG is a plus).
- Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes, or mining equipment.
- Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
- AWS welding certification is preferred but not required.
