Pay starts at $15-16/hr depending on experience and is determined by the hiring manager during an interview.
Dietary Cook:
Dining is an important part of life and at Vancrest, we strive to provide the highest possible quality dining experience while ensuring the most nutritional diet possible for each resident.:
Cook Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
- Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
- Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
- Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
- Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
- Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.
- Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
- Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
- Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, and other duties as requested
