About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, bilingual Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our Illinois warehouse operations.
This is a true working manager position. You will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations while leading by example on the warehouse floor. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, accountable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
If you prefer sitting behind a desk all day, this position is not the right fit. We're looking for a leader who takes initiative, solves problems, and works alongside the team when needed.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
- Manage all daily warehouse operations for the Illinois facility.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory flow, and warehouse organization.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and shipping of customer orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Coordinate basic facility maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and warehouse processes.
Inventory & Process Control
- Oversee receiving, put-away, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and process issues.
- Monitor inventory performance and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop solutions that prevent recurring operational problems rather than simply reacting to them.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure consistent execution of warehouse procedures.
Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
- Assign daily work and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Enforce company policies, attendance expectations, and safety standards consistently.
- Hold employees accountable while promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Step in and work alongside the team whenever operational needs require it.
Qualifications Required
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations from receiving through shipping.
- Previous experience supervising and leading warehouse employees.
- Forklift experience and a strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working with inventory data, daily reports, and operational performance metrics.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to make sound decisions independently.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience implementing process improvements that increased warehouse efficiency or inventory accuracy.
- Experience managing inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
