Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as window washing, surface sanitizing, and restroom restocking to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept surfaces.
- Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups in residential or commercial settings.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including cleaning large-scale facilities or specialized equipment.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of custodial procedures.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment including vacuums, mops, buffers, and pressure washers.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently in large or complex environments.
- Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs and residential painting are a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various environments throughout the day.
