Position Summary:
We are seeking an analytical and detail oriented ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist with CT experience or willing to train. Qualified candidates must be adept in positioning and immobilizing patients, administering oral and IV contrast and producing accurate diagnostic images in accordance with quality control and established processes. We offer no weekends, nights, or holidays in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities

Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional

Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients

Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images

Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging

Examining images to ensure they’re usable

Updating patient medical information and acquiring appropriate patient history for exams, following guidelines for patients with pregnancy, diabetes, and contrast allergies

Ensuring all tasks are completed with the highest level of precision and accuracy
Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
Required Qualifications

1+ years in a medical imaging setting

Radiation License
-
Current ARRT registered with updated CEU

Proof of all required licenses and certifications due at the time of hire

Computer proficiency required

Excellent communication and customer service
- Demonstrates a professional, polite, concerned, caring, compassionate, and competent demeanor while providing patient care and interacting with co-workers and physicians
- Current knowledge of the field

Venipuncture
- Complies with ARC standards

Staff will be trained in Istat, HIPAA/OSHA standards and maintain CPR certification
Education and Certifications:

Associate (Preferred)

ARRT Certification (Required)

Kentucky or Indiana Radiation License (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:

May be expected to lift up to 5 pounds or up to 10 pounds with assistance. Work is of light demand, sitting or walking most of the time while on duty. Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required: optimal auditory acuity required; manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and computers is essential to performing assigned duties. Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit. May be subjected to stressful situations. Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced associated with a normal office environment. Tasks/activities do not entail predictable or unpredictable exposure to blood or other body fluids to which universal precautions apply.
