Commercial & Residential Glass Estimator (Part-Time)

Clear Cut Glass is a growing company specializing in commercial, residential, and auto glass, as well as professional window tinting throughout the entire Phoenix Valley. We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Residential Glass Estimator to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone with glass industry experience who enjoys estimating, project planning, and working directly with the operations manager, homeowners, and contractors.
***Compensation: $28-$32 per hour (DOE)
Commercial Estimating Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and professional estimates for commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and plan revisions.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and determine project scope.
- Prepare proposals and bid packages.
- Meet with homeowners, contractors, builders, architects, and property managers to discuss project requirements when needed.
- Communicate with customers throughout the estimating process and provide timely follow-up.
- Track pending bids and maintain organized project files.
Residential Estimating Responsibilities
· Prepare accurate and professional estimates for residential projects.
· Quote replacement windows and patio doors.
· Quote railing systems and custom glass projects
- Perform field measurements (at times) when required.
- Assist customers in selecting products and hardware that best meet their needs.
- Support warranty evaluations and resolve customer concerns when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial and residential glass and glazing industry.
- Experience preparing estimates for commercial and residential glazing projects.
- Strong understanding of glass products, storefront systems, doors, hardware, insulated glass units, mirrors, shower enclosures, and specialty glazing products.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and plan revisions.
- Knowledge of glazing systems, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building codes.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating software is a must.
