Essential Job Functions:

Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.

Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
-
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
-
Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
-
Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity, including Computer Assisted Ordering.
-
Check condition, the accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of the product received.
-
Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
-
Ensure inventory management for all delivered products.
-
Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
-
Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
-
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
-
Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
-
Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
-
Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.

Ensure maximum security of the receiving area.

Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
-
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
-
Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
