We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dietary Manger to lead and oversee the dietary services within our healthcare facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation and Service
- Prepare meals and snacks in accordance with approved menus, standardized recipes, and portion controls
- Ensure meals meet resident dietary needs and prescribed modified diets (e.g., mechanical soft, diabetic, low sodium), as directed
- Prepare food to appropriate textures and temperatures to promote resident safety and satisfaction
- Assist with meal service as needed, ensuring timely and respectful delivery
- Assist with menu planning and inventory management
Food Safety and Sanitation
- Maintain compliance withfood service requirements, local health department regulations, and ServSafe standards
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, dating, and temperature control procedures
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and utensils according to established schedules
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
- Adhere to infection control practices, including hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment as required
- Complete required dietary documentation, including temperature logs, cleaning logs, and production records
Resident Interaction and Customer Service
- Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, promoting a positive dining experience
- Respond appropriately to resident preferences, concerns, and feedback
- Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity at all times
Team Collaboration
- Work cooperatively with dietary, caregiving, and leadership staff
- Follow direction from Executive Director
- Support emergency preparedness and alternate meal service as needed
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
