Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility, located in Oklahoma City, OK, encompasses a 116-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard and playground.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our inpatient adult acute care unit. This vital role involves providing comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to adult patients experiencing acute psychiatric conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in clinical documentation, patient assessment, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Sign-on bonus: $6K, with a 1-year commitment; $10K, with a 2-year commitment
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at promoting recovery, social skills development, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including medication management and discharge planning.
- Document all clinical interactions accurately following HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
- Engage in crisis management and intervention strategies to stabilize patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes.
- Collect data for clinical research initiatives aimed at improving behavioral health services and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of one year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with eligibility to practice in the State of Oklahoma or Under Supervision for Licensure.
Additional Skills/Competencies
- Proven experience working with adult psychiatric patients in inpatient hospital settings or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective treatment strategies within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care.
