About the Opportunity
NFPI Training is in growth mode, and we’re expanding our sales team with a high-performing Business Development Representative who knows how to prospect, build relationships, and close opportunities in the B2B space.
We are the largest provider of hydraulic technician training in the world and have expanded into HVAC, electrical, and other technical industries. Our reputation is built on delivering hands-on, industry-leading training programs that solve real workforce development challenges.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Prospect and develop relationships with companies across the United States employing technicians in hydraulics, HVAC, electrical systems, and related technical trades
- Engage corporate training managers, HR directors, and operations leaders to understand their workforce development challenges
- Drive enrollment in our nationwide group training programs
- Identify opportunities for customized, on-site training solutions
- Differentiate NFPI’s programs from competing training providers
- Build long-term partnerships that lead to repeat business
You will be supported by a highly experienced technical team and a proven training platform that consistently delivers measurable results for our clients.
Who Thrives in This Role
The most successful candidates:
- Have 3+ years of strong B2B prospecting and relationship-building experience
- Are confident speaking with training managers and operations leaders
- Understand the difference between transactional selling and consultative business development
- Can build rapport quickly and transfer confidence to decision-makers
- Stay persistent when engaging busy executives managing complex operations
- Grasp the fundamentals of industrial operations and technical trades
- Take feedback well and thrive on a high-performance team
If you cannot confidently discuss workforce development challenges with industry leaders, this position will not be a fit.
Key Objectives
- Build and manage a national pipeline of technical training prospects
- Position NFPI as a strategic workforce development partner
- Consistently fill scheduled group training programs throughout the year
- Identify and expand opportunities for bespoke, on-site corporate training
We will train you thoroughly on our programs, but you must bring the drive, professionalism, and prospecting discipline required to succeed.

- Competitive base salary + commission (80/20 OTE structure)

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales or prospecting experience
- Proven track record of relationship-based selling
- Strong phone presence and executive-level communication skills
- CRM proficiency (Zoho CRM preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening and presentation abilities
- Highly organized with effective time management skills
