At We Conquer Together, we offer specialized, person-centered care in a dedicated 6-person capacity residential facility for adults of all genders (18+). Located in peaceful Yorba Linda, CA, our boutique setting is intentionally small to provide truly individualized treatment in a safe and supportive environment.
Our program is designed to support mental health stabilization while addressing the complexities of co-occurring eating disorders, disordered eating behaviors, or nutritional concerns. We are staffed and structured to provide comprehensive care for a wide range of mental health challenges, while also integrating nutritional and behavioral support where needed.
The intimacy of our setting allows for intensive therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our experienced multidisciplinary team fosters connection, safety, and long-term healing through evidence-based practices and genuine human connection.
Position Overview:
We Conquer Together is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and driven Primary Therapist to join our dedicated clinical team. This is a high-impact role within our residential program, providing an opportunity to make meaningful connections and lasting change in the lives of our clients.
The ideal candidate brings experience or a strong interest in working with co-occurring eating disorders and primary mental health diagnoses. This role involves delivering direct clinical care, including assessments, individual and group therapy, and family support services. We're looking for a clinician who not only thrives in a collaborative environment but is also excited to shape a specialized clinical niche and help craft an intentional, person-centered treatment experience.

Associate-level clinicians are encouraged to apply — our Clinical Director holds a PsyD and is available to provide supervision, making this a meaningful opportunity to accumulate hours in a specialized, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Biopsychosocial Assessments (BPS) to evaluate the mental health status of new and existing clients.
- Administer and interpret the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) along with other relevant psychological assessments.
- Create a comprehensive master problem list for each client upon admission, detailing all identified psychological, social, and physical issues that have been identified in the BPS and relevant assessments.
- Collaboratively design a detailed master treatment plan based on the master problem list that has been created including specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals and interventions tailored to each client's unique therapeutic needs.
- .Conduct weekly reviews of each client’s treatment plan to assess progress towards goals, making necessary adjustments to interventions based on therapeutic outcomes and client feedback.
- Integrate feedback and insights from team discussions into the treatment planning and updating process to enhance care delivery.
- Develop and facilitate group therapy sessions, contributing to the curriculum with innovative and effective therapeutic activities.
- Provide individual therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs and treatment goals of each client.
- Engage in family therapy sessions to support clients’ recovery and to enhance family dynamics and understanding of mental health conditions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment plans, updates, and client interactions in compliance with facility policies, Joint Commission Standards, and regulatory requirements from the DHCS and DSS.
- Educate clients and families about the treatment objectives and the rationale behind proposed interventions, enhancing their engagement and adherence to the treatment process.
- Provide Crisis Intervention for clients in crisis in a calm and professional manner.
- Be available for on-call duties as needed, including crisis intervention support and responding to staff questions regarding client care through our team communication platform.
- Collaborating with the leadership team in the creation and administration of clinical training to all staff on relevant topics.
Qualifications:
- Possess an Associate Number or full licensure in the state of CA (e.g., AMFT/MFT, ACSW/LCSW, LPCC, etc) (required).
- Ability to pass a Live Scan background check (required).
- Experience in residential treatment settings (preferred).
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as DBT, ACT, CBT, and somatic approaches (required).
- Knowledge of eating disorder recovery modalities and trauma-informed care (required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach (required).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment (required).
- Cultural humility and the ability to work with diverse populations across gender, race, sexual orientation, and lived experience (required).
