The Village of Hancock is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional individual to serve as Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. This position assists with the daily operations of the Clerk/Treasurer’s office and provides administrative, financial, and customer service support to residents, staff, and elected officials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with utility billing, receipting, deposits, and account management
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with financial recordkeeping
- Prepare meeting packets, agendas, minutes, and public notices
- Maintain village records and files in compliance with Wisconsin statutes
- Assist with elections, licensing, permits, and tax collection
- Respond to resident questions and provide front office customer service
- Assist with preparation of reports, budgets, and state filings
- Serve as backup to the Clerk/Treasurer as needed
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
This position will be part time with flexible hours approximately 3 days per week and 5 hours per day. This can be flexible mornings or afternoons.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
