Role: Business Development & Sales Executive
You will drive growth by selling Tempo’s customizable technology solutions to manufacturers, distributors, logistics and retail companies. You will work directly with management to shape sales strategy, hunt for new business, manage key accounts, and execute winning strategies.
What We Offer:
- Highly competitive compensation with an OTE of $300K-$340K, split 50/50 between base and commission.
- This is a full-time remote position. Must be available during normal working hours Eastern Time. Must be based in and authorized to work in the United States.
Experience:
- 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of closing six-to-seven figure enterprise technology deals (hardware, software, services).
- Significant and successful experience using the latest lead generation and enrichment software, such as Apollo and Clay. Experience using parallel dialers for efficient and effective outreach.
- Experience in industrial verticals strongly desired, including manufacturing, distribution and/or logistics.
- Experience selling RFID technologies desired.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Undergraduate degree required.
What You Will Do:
- Quota Achievement:
- $1M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) for software
- $1.5M in hardware and software engineering services revenue
- Hunt for New Business: Generate and develop new business leads.
- Business Development: Identify, vet and secure new clients using a consultative sales approach, understanding their challenges and offering tailored solutions.
- Grow and Maintain Existing Accounts: Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships while maximizing opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and renew contracts.
- Lead the Sales Cycle: Own the full sales cycle, from lead qualification through to closing contracts. You will receive strong support and collaboration from Tempo management and technical teams to help ensure your success.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate CRM and other records to track opportunities, be proactive with next steps, and document results.
- Travel: Approximately 10% travel for customer sales and support visits.
What We’re Looking For:
- Deep knowledge of lead generation, enrichment and cold calling software.
- Understanding of industrial inventory and asset management pain points and challenges across multiple verticals.
- Understanding of industrial organizational roles and personas to optimize lead generation.
- Independence & Motivation: We are looking for driven, highly organized people who love to hunt, manage and close deals. Proven ability to independently and collaboratively manage sales cycles for industrial software, hardware and services.
- Exceptional Communication: Must be detailed, organized, timely and professional in written and verbal interactions with customers, partners and Tempo team members. Fluency in English required.
