JOB SUMMARY:
Firesteel Healthcare Center is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilities throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls.
Operate hand and power tools safely.
Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
Repair plaster and drywall.
Maintain plumbing system and fixtures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC
Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.
