Lead Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Lead Teachers to join our team. In this role, you will plan and implement engaging activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, while creating a nurturing and positive classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a qualified Lead Teacher, or be willing to obtain Lead qualification as soon as possible
- Oversee the daily operations and overall supervision of a classroom
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies
- Observe and assess each child’s developmental progress on an ongoing basis
- Plan and implement lesson plans and daily classroom activities
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team on parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Provide positive guidance, recognition, and consistent expectations for children’s behavior
- Take responsibility for classroom upkeep, shared spaces, and playground areas
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and school events
- Support additional duties as assigned by the Director or leadership team
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must meet or be willing to obtain Lead Teacher qualifications
- Knowledge of and commitment to state licensing regulations
- Ability to follow and implement center policies and curriculum
- Flexibility with scheduling and classroom assignments
- Strong passion, patience, and respect for working with young children
- Must pass all required background checks and TRAILS verification prior to employment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
