Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to creatively design residential construction and remodeling projects, guide clients through the selection process, present and sell design concepts, and oversee the successful execution of each client's vision from concept through completion.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Meet with clients to understand design goals, functionality, aesthetics, and budget.
· Develop design concepts, look books, finish palettes, and material selections.
· Lead client selection appointments at showrooms.
· Prepare CAD drawings, cabinetry layouts, and construction documentation.
· Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field teams.
· Review construction documents for design accuracy.
· Assist with takeoffs and product selections.
· Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
· Maintain exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of residential interior design experience with a builder or remodeler.
· Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs.
· Proficiency in Chief Architect, AutoCAD, and/or 2020 Design.
· Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
· Experience performing and verifying takeoffs.
· Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Customer-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
