General Summary:
The Business Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and stakeholder alignment across Pioneer Health’s MSO-supported clinical programs. This individual leads business development initiatives, supports vertical and horizontal service line expansion, and ensures seamless coordination between clinical teams, hospital leadership, and administrative operations. A strong emphasis is placed on financial analysis, return on investment (ROI), and high-impact presentation capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight
- Manage daily business operations across hospital and clinic-based programs, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee staffing models, scheduling workflows, and resource deployment in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance patient access, throughput, and experience.
Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Lead vertical and horizontal growth initiatives, including expansion of hospital and clinic services, procedural programs, and new clinical offerings.
- Analyze market trends, referral patterns, and service line performance to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost containment.
- Develop and present strategic proposals, financial models, and operational plans to internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Analysis & Return on Investment
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate program performance, payer mix, RVU productivity, and cost structures.
- Track and report on return on investment (ROI) for new initiatives, staffing models, and clinic expansions.
- Collaborate with finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and pro forma development for strategic planning.
Stakeholder Engagement & Presentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital C-suite executives, physician leaders, and key operational partners.
- Represent Pioneer Health in strategic planning meetings, joint operating committees, and service line reviews.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, clearly communicating performance, growth strategies, and operational impact.
- Maintain professional communication and coordination through Microsoft Outlook, and conduct data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or business development, or strategic planning.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a clinical environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with RVU-based compensation models, ROI analysis, and budget management.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to anticipate future needs and develop strategic solutions to overcome potential challenges.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in administrative processes and operational tasks.
- Can build trust while maintaining confidentiality.
- Has high emotional intelligence.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid working in the Corporate Office and remotely.
- 50% Travel to assigned facilities throughout the Southeast.
