Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive in-person customer service throughout breakfast hours
- Prepare and replenish breakfast items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines, including hot foods, cereals, fruits, baked goods, and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area by cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and ensuring proper sanitizing procedures are followed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, warmers, and food dispensers
- Handle food with care using proper manual handling techniques; assist with food portioning and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Process guest requests promptly and address any concerns or dietary needs with professionalism and courtesy
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure all food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures comply with health regulations
- Assist with setting up breakfast buffet stations, restocking supplies, and managing waste disposal in accordance with environmental standards
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food preparation or cleaning tasks as needed
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing any cash transactions related to breakfast service or amenities
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper cleaning techniques is essential
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, warmers, or toasters enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously in person
- Experience handling food safely and understanding dietary restrictions or special requests is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing weight loads associated with food supplies or equipment
- Basic math skills for managing inventory levels or processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
