The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall leadership of the clinical program, including oversight of treatment services, supervision of clinical staff, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to ensure the program maintains exceptional clinical standards while supporting a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapists and other clinical team members.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services.
- Monitor documentation, treatment planning, and clinical programming to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop clinical staff.
- Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development.
- Collaborate with medical providers, admissions, utilization review, and operations to promote continuity of care.
- Review clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of current behavioral health regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational growth and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania clinical license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent master's-level independent clinical license).
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Minimum of three years of behavioral health experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities preferred.
- Experience working within PHP, IOP, or other intensive outpatient behavioral health settings is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, utilization management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster collaboration and support a multidisciplinary treatment team.
