Position Requirements
Qualified candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or the appropriate content area (Master's degree preferred).
- Knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and Precalculus.
- New York State teaching certification preferred.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to academic excellence and student-centered instruction.
- The ability to integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into daily teaching and interactions.
- A passion for mentoring students and partnering with families to support student success.
Responsibilities
Teachers at Freeport Christian Academy are expected to:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Serve as positive Christian role models for students both inside and outside the classroom.
