Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic research team. Duties
- Conduct laboratory experiments utilizing tissue culture, mammalian cell culture, transfection, and immunological techniques such as ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and microscopy
- Perform molecular biology procedures including PCR, protein purification, chromatography, and Western blot analysis
- Manage in vivo studies and animal physiology experiments following FDA regulations and ethical guidelines
- Analyze complex bioinformatics data sets using R, Python, SAS, and other statistical tools to interpret research findings
- Review research documentation meticulously to ensure accuracy and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and HIPAA standards
- Support clinical trials by monitoring patient data, assisting with patient monitoring activities, and ensuring adherence to clinical research protocols
- Contribute to the design of experiments, maintain detailed laboratory records, and assist in preparing research publications for peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop research proposals and secure grant funding for ongoing projects
Experience
- Proven laboratory research experience in cell & molecular biology techniques within an academic or clinical setting
- Hands-on expertise in tissue culture, protein purification, ELISA assays, PCR, flow cytometry, Western blotting, chromatography, and microscopy
- Familiarity with in vivo animal studies and physiology is highly desirable
- Proficiency in bioinformatics data analysis using R or Python; experience with SAS is a plus
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to clinical trials and medical research standards such as GCP and HIPAA compliance
- Strong documentation review skills ensuring accuracy in research records and regulatory submissions
- Experience publishing scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced research environment
