As the Quality Assurance & Operations Manager, you will oversee operational excellence across our luxury vacation rental portfolio while spending significant time in the field conducting quality inspections, coaching team members, and ensuring every home reflects the Southern Belle standard.This role is responsible for protecting both the homeowner and guest experience by driving accountability, improving operations, and building strong relationships with homeowners, vendors, and staff. You'll also work directly with homeowners to identify opportunities for property enhancements, preventative maintenance, and amenity improvements that elevate the guest experience and maximize revenue.The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a passion for delivering excellence in every aspect of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Property Excellence
- Conduct routine inspections of vacation homes to ensure they consistently meet Southern Belle's quality standards.
- Identify maintenance, cleanliness, safety, furnishing, and presentation issues before they impact guests.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs, inspection standards, and accountability measures.
- Ensure every property delivers a luxury guest experience.
- Monitor recurring issues and implement long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily operational performance across multiple departments.
- Coach and mentor department leaders to improve efficiency, quality, and accountability.
- Establish measurable performance expectations and ensure operational consistency.
- Identify workflow improvements that increase efficiency and elevate the homeowner and guest experience.
- Assist leadership with strategic operational planning and continuous process improvement.
Homeowner Relations & Property Improvement
- Build strong, trusted relationships with homeowners through proactive communication and professional guidance.
- Conduct property walkthroughs with homeowners when needed.
- Recommend upgrades, repairs, furnishings, amenities, and preventative maintenance that improve guest satisfaction and increase rental performance.
- Present improvement recommendations in a professional, consultative manner while balancing homeowner budgets and investment goals.
- Collaborate with homeowners to prioritize projects that protect their investment and enhance the guest experience.
Vendor & Project Management
- Coordinate with maintenance vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Verify completed work through follow-up inspections.
- Ensure vendor performance aligns with Southern Belle's expectations for quality and professionalism.
- Assist in prioritizing operational projects based on urgency, guest impact, and homeowner value.
Guest Experience
- Protect the guest experience by proactively identifying and resolving issues before arrival.
- Investigate recurring guest concerns and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with department leaders to continuously improve guest satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, property management, operations, luxury service, or a related field
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, consistently identifying and resolving issues others may overlook
- Experience working directly with homeowners, clients, or high-end customers, while successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational management software
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
