You’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming environment, guiding applicants through leasing processes, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents warmly, providing detailed property tours and answering questions to spark interest.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, including data entry into Appfolio
- Promote available units through upselling techniques while aligning offerings with client needs.
- Ensure all leasing activities adhere to Fair Housing laws and other legal requirements.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate lease contracts and related legal documents with transparency and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, applicant files, and correspondence through organized filing systems.
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins, address resident concerns, and facilitate property upkeep.
- Handle conflict management professionally by resolving tenant issues promptly while maintaining positive relationships.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects to nurture relationships and maximize occupancy opportunities.
- Stay updated on local housing regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, ideally within multifamily housing communities.
- Strong knowledge of Landlord-Tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Appfolio for data entry, reporting, and customer relationship management (CRM).
- Demonstrated success in sales or customer service roles with excellent phone etiquette and negotiation skills.
- Experience handling legal administrative tasks including contracts, filing systems, and dispute resolution.
- Office experience that includes data entry, filing, facilities management, and basic maintenance coordination is highly valued.
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping related to leasing activities and legal documentation.
