Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor beverage levels to ensure seamless service
- Develop new beverage recipes and experiment with mixology techniques to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies, monitor guest intoxication levels, and handle difficult situations professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service or catering events to ensure smooth operation during banquets or large parties
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, and cocktail mixing techniques including mixology fundamentals
- Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods without compromising quality
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Experience in fine dining environments or hospitality industry settings preferred
- Ability to develop beverage recipes creatively while adhering to food safety standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and food industry operations
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, alcohol regulations, and responsible serving practices
- Previous experience in restaurant or banquet settings is advantageous; catering experience is a plus
- Knowledge of beverage trends such as brewing processes or spirits craftsmanship enhances your expertise
