Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments to evaluate patient needs using advanced hearing assessment tools and techniques
- Program, fit, and fine-tune hearing aids utilizing hearing aid programming software and hearing aid fitting software to ensure optimal performance
- Educate patients on device operation, maintenance, and care to promote long-term satisfaction and device longevity
- Manage patient intake processes efficiently, including collecting medical history and explaining treatment options clearly
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret medical terminology and integrate audiology findings into patient care plans
- Utilize patient management software and EMR/EHR systems to document assessments, fittings, and follow-up care accurately
- Provide exceptional client communication, ensuring a positive experience from initial consultation through ongoing support
Qualifications
- Proven experience in clinical audiology or as a Hearing Instrument Specialist with knowledge of hearing aid fitting and programming
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to hearing health and occupational health standards
- Proficiency with medical software such as NOAH, Hearing aid fitting software, Patient management software, and EMR/EHR systems
- Familiarity with hearing assessments, pediatrics audiology, ICD coding, and medical equipment operation relevant to audiology practice
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Ability to interpret hearing assessments accurately and deliver tailored solutions for each individual’s needs
- Knowledge of medical equipment operation related to audiological testing and hearing aid fitting processes
