Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Paralegal to join our immigration law firm. The ideal candidate must have prior hands-on experience handling a variety of immigration matters and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions, including but not limited to:
- Family-based petitions (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131)
- Naturalization (N-400)
- Adjustment of Status
- Consular Processing (NVC stage)
- Waivers (I-601, I-601A)
- Asylum and humanitarian applications
- Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish regarding case status and document collection
- Draft legal forms, letters, and supporting documents
- Maintain accurate case files and records in the firm’s case management system
- Monitor case progress and follow up with clients and government agencies
- Assist attorneys with case preparation and legal support
- Ensure compliance with USCIS and immigration court requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of immigration paralegal experience
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong knowledge of immigration forms and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with removal defense, asylum, or complex cases
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (preferred but not required)
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift
