Position Overview
Southeast Utility Trailer is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to join the team as a Parts Sales Trainee. This position is designed for an individual who wants to build or continue a career in sales. The successful candidate will begin by learning our products, warehouse operations and counter sales processes before transitioning into an Outside Salesperson role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers (internal & external), learning about products and developing business relationships.
Pay $20 - $23/hr DOE. No weekends!
Responsibilities
Represents Southeast Utility Trailer and its services within the parts department to all customers. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Training Phase – Warehouse & Counter Sales
· Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory.
· Learn products and product lines.
· Assist internal & external customers and the counter and over the phone.
· Process orders, quotes, returns and special orders.
· Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and company procedures.
· Attain understanding of dealer management systems.
· Work closely with experienced sales team members.
Outside Sales Development
· Build & maintain relationships with existing customers.
· Able to make cold calls and develop prospects in your given territory.
· Conduct customer visits and provide product recommendations.
· Represent Southeast Utility Trailer professionally in the marketplace.
· Willing to travel within the assigned territory; all travel is local with no overnight stays required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required for future outside sales responsibilities.
Strong communication and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift a min of 30 lbs., as well as meet other physical aspects of the job (lift, bend, reach, crawl & climb).
