Responsibilities
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment
- Repair and replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Examine equipment to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
- Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
- Service equipment to maintain functionality.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
- Maintain and lubricate parts or components
- Assemble electromechanical or hydraulic systems.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
- Rewire electrical or electronic systems.
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
- Lay out and drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly.
- Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes.
- Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.
- Plan production or operational procedures or sequences.
- Repair parts or assemblies.
- Replace worn equipment components.
- Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment assembly or servicing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in metal machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings with attention to detail.
- Experience using measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measurement tools for quality control purposes.
- Ability to operate machining tools setup procedures efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance practices is a plus.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is preferred.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
