Job Overview
The Shop Keeper plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the market. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring products are well-stocked and properly presented. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and contributes to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Greet every guest with a friendly, welcoming attitude - helping them through their transaction
- Operate the register accurately (cash, card, mobile payments)
- Open and/or close the market (set up, cash counts, end-of-day procedures)
- Keep the shop clean, stocked, and visually appealing at all times
- Restock shelves, coolers, and grab-and-go items throughout the shift
- Monitor product freshness and rotate items as needed
- Answer questions about products and make recommendations when appropriate
- Help maintain a smooth flow during busy periods
- Communicate clearly with team members and management
What We’re Looking For:
- Positive, upbeat personality with strong people skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable multitasking and staying organized in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- A good eye for cleanliness and presentation
- Someone who takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Retail, café, or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
