Rise Recovery LLC is a residential and outpatient addictions treatment organization serving the Fort Wayne and New Haven communities. We provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), transitional housing, and peer support services to individuals on their recovery journey. About the Role
We are seeking a Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) to join our residential team on second shift. This position blends traditional peer support work with residential oversight responsibilities during evening and overnight hours. You will be a steady, supportive presence for residents while also helping maintain the safety, structure, and accountability that make our transitional housing program successful.
This role is ideal for someone with lived recovery experience who is confident setting boundaries, remains calm under pressure, and understands that compassion and accountability go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer support services grounded in your own lived recovery experience
- Meet one-on-one with residents to offer encouragement, guidance, and connection to recovery resources
- Assist with nightly bed checks to ensure resident safety and program compliance
- Assist with medication passes in accordance with program policies and procedures
- Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations calmly and professionally
- Enforce program rules and carry out disciplinary actions when necessary, up to and including termination of residents who are non-compliant with program requirements
- Document interactions, incidents, and shift activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with leadership and day staff to ensure continuity of care
- Model recovery-oriented behavior and uphold professional boundaries at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) in the State of Indiana at time of hire
- Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder
- Ability to work the full posted schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Strong judgment and the ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations
- Comfort enforcing rules and holding residents accountable, including carrying out disciplinary actions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred:
- Crisis intervention / de-escalation training
- Prior experience in a residential, transitional housing, or treatment setting
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with documentation and confidentiality requirements (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2)
