Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Residential Closing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support residential real estate transactions from initial contract review through closing, ensuring all legal documentation and procedures are meticulously managed. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth closings, coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and attorneys, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Duties
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to residential real estate closings, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, agents, and clients to ensure all closing requirements are met in a timely manner
- Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Conduct legal research across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation as needed for case support
- Review contracts and legal documents for accuracy and compliance; proofread and edit documents to ensure clarity and correctness
- Assist in document review processes utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis for relevant legal research
- Support project management tasks related to closing timelines and document workflows
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining organized case files
- Provide exceptional executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence with professionalism and phone etiquette
Experience
- Paralegal experience in residential real estate closings or related legal fields is required
- Familiarity with legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw is preferred
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, land use laws, UCC law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law or other specialized practice areas is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with document review processes and legal drafting is essential
- Exceptional proofreading skills coupled with strong writing abilities for preparing clear legal documents
- Effective interviewing skills for gathering information from clients or stakeholders when necessary
- Proven clerical experience including filing systems, data entry accuracy, phone etiquette and administrative support in a busy law office environment

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
