Overview
Pulmonic Health is a respiratory-focused durable medical equipment provider serving patients throughout the Central Valley. We specialize in supporting patients with complex respiratory needs, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, PAP therapy, suction equipment, and airway-clearance devices.
We are seeking a dependable Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a flexible Part-Time or PRN position. The RT will provide respiratory equipment setups, patient and caregiver education, clinical assessments, and follow-up support primarily in patients’ homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RT seeking flexible work outside of—or in addition to—a traditional hospital schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory equipment setups in patient homes and occasionally in healthcare facilities
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on the safe and proper use of prescribed respiratory equipment
- Complete initial and follow-up respiratory assessments according to the patient’s plan of care
- Support patients using invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, CPAP, BiPAP, suction equipment, nebulizers, cough-assist devices, and related supplies
- Assess equipment performance and troubleshoot clinical or equipment-related concerns
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, education, follow-up notes, and plan-of-care documentation
- Provide telephone or telehealth follow-up when appropriate
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection-control standards, company policies, and applicable respiratory-care regulations
- Participate in scheduled on-call or after-hours coverage as assigned
- Travel to patient homes throughout the assigned service area
Required Qualifications
- Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner license in good standing
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through the NBRC
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid California driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Excellent patient-education, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to safely transport, lift, and demonstrate respiratory equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of respiratory therapy experience
- Experience with home mechanical ventilation or medically complex respiratory patients
- Experience supporting patients with ALS, neuromuscular disease, COPD, chronic respiratory failure, or tracheostomies
- Home-care, DME, discharge-planning, adult, or pediatric respiratory experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are welcomed but not required

Schedule and Travel
Patient visits are scheduled according to referrals, hospital discharges, equipment setups, and follow-up needs. Applicants should indicate their weekly availability, evening or weekend availability, willingness to participate in scheduled on-call coverage, and experience with home ventilation.
